New Era Foundation provided winter clothes
The New Era Foundation, a non-governmental development organization, has distributed winter clothes to alleviate the suffering of winter. This winter clothes distribution program was held at the Charmirkamari branch on Thursday, January 2. The foundation’s CEO Md. Shafiqul Islam said, “Poor people suffer a lot in winter. Our initiative will help reduce their suffering to some extent.” He also said that it is our moral responsibility to stand by the helpless people ‘for the sake of the people’. The poor and helpless people are part of the country and society. Therefore, everyone, including the wealthy in the society, should stand by the helpless people. We should awaken the sense of humanity in our hearts and work for all the deprived people of the society. The chief guest, the president of the foundation, Fauzia Manjur, said, “If everyone comes forward, it is possible to alleviate the suffering of the poor people in winter.” The program was conducted by the director of the foundation, Mostaq Ahmed Kiran. Also present were Vice President Freedom fighter Matiur Rahman, Deputy Director BM Fahim Rahman, Chief Accountant Kamal Parvez, Human Resources Officer Khairuzzaman, MIS Officer Ahmadullah Milon and Information Officer Gopal Adhikari.
